Management Plan Developed for PCWA Properties

A Management Plan was developed for PCWA's donated properties along Peters Creek by Tammy Colt of The Pennsylvania Game Commission during 2014. The plan provides suggestions for improving habitat for wildlife species; especially those of special concern in Pennsylvania. Volunteers are needed to help implement this plan. Reforestation Project along Sleepy Hollow Run

We were awarded a Growing Greener Grant from the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection to work with Allegheny County Parks to restore a forested buffer along Sleepy Hollow Run in South Park County Park. Adequate forested buffers along streams are essential if we are to maintain good water quality. We will be installing this buffer in the fall of 2016. If you want to help contact us at
