Volunteer

Peters Creek, its many tributaries, ponds, wetlands and wooded slopes are wonderful natural amenities. They provide utility to the watersheds communities in numerous ways. To ensure that they are not significantly degraded in the future requires vigilance, stewardship and volunteer involvement.

We need your help with many projects already in progress. We also need your ideas for future projects.

Projects in need of volunteers include:

  • Development of a stream monitoring plan.
  • Stream monitoring and stewardship.
  • Stream clean-ups.
  • Invasive plant removal.
  • Development of educational pamphlets and brochures.
  • Working with school children to plant riparian buffers.
